It’s now official: Miami will not be undefeated this season. Hot net loss 100-92 shocking home to Atlanta on Monday.
The Hawks trailed by four heading into the fourth quarter before outscoring the heat at 33-21 the rest of the way. Tracy McGrady, who wants to play for the Bulls a year ago, knocked down a straight 3 3-pointers and former Bulls guard Jannero Pargo added 8 points off the bench for Atlanta. Joe Johnson led the Hawks with 21 points.
The Hawks went on to play the Bulls on Tuesday in Central America. Currently, three Eastern Conference team had a 4-1 Record–the Bulls, Indiana and Atlanta–while Miami is 5-1.
Mike McGraw has covered the Bulls since 1995, the author of beating the full time in 1999. He still is haunted by memories of the collapse of the 1973 Game 7, Lakers Rick Barry and Lionel Hollins. Not exactly the same spirit during the Championship, but he appreciates having a good seat in the Central Delta of Michael Jordan’s final shot with the Bulls in 1998.
