The Arab League Envoy of UN Kofi Annan to UNITED NATIONS Member States remain firm Thursday April 12 deadline for ending violence in Syria. But he added that although the Government of Syria has committed to stop the military action against the rebels and in areas of civilian population, “alarming” number of casualties and the abuse continued.
Annan said the informal meeting of the UN General Assembly Syria has accepted the Government of his six-point peace plan, which requires, first and foremost, the cessation of violence. He claims to be a “can’t wait” to act on the commitments made.
“All the points of the plan are important. But the one most urgent need for cessation of violence–are, “he said.”Obviously this violence still continues, the alarming level of casualties and other abuses continue to be reported daily. Military operations in civilian population centers don’t stop. “
Annan, who spoke via video link from Geneva, said the Government of Syria has informed him of his forces have partially withdrawn from the town of Idlib, Zabadani and flashpoint in the battle of dara.

The Government has agreed to halt all military actions on April 10. Within 48 hours after the Government fulfilled that promise, the opposition is supposed to put the weapon. Annan called on all parties to stop all forms of violence during the 6 a.m. Damascus on Thursday, April 12th.
